We really need you to campaign in Milton Keynes to help Labour take control of the council.
With the council currently under no overall political control, it is vital that Labour councillors are elected in the May local elections to fight for local services, fight for housing and fight against severe government cuts harming the poorest in our society.
This is the weekend we will really turbo-charge our campaigning, following on from Jeremy Corbyn launching Labour’s local election campaign. We will be working hard in Milton Keynes to make sure Labour’s message is heard by all residents throughout the town.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has not been out canvassing before to get involved in the campaign. At the start we’ll be having a briefing and training session for anyone who is new or would like a refresher, before we hear from our special guest Keir Starmer and then we’ll head out and speak to as many people as possible about Labour’s plan for the many, not the few, in Milton Keynes.
We will be meeting at 9:45am at the Matiesen Community Centre (4 Mathiesen Road, Stantonbury, Bradville, Milton Keynes, MK13 7AG) and then heading off for a doorknocking session in Bradville.
We will also be hosting an afternoon canvassing session and we will meet for this at 2pm at the Labour Hall (112 Newport Rd, New Bradwell, Milton Keynes MK13 0AA).
