Striving to make a difference
I’m your Labour representative for Tattenhoe, which is where I live. The ward includes Tattenhoe, Westcroft, Oxley Park, Kingsmead and Tattenhoe Park. I’m committed to improving services in these areas, and to campaigning on issues that affect you and our community.
I moved to Milton Keynes in 2013, after teaching in London for six years. I currently live with my family in Oxley Park, and am employed as the Head of Science at a local secondary school.
I got involved in local politics and public life in order to defend our public services and to ensure that future generations have access to facilities such as libraries and children’s centres. As well as holding a position as a school governor, I’m also helping to establish a patient participation committee at Westcroft Health Centre.
I recently spearheaded a campaign to install a Post Office counter at the Morrisons store in Westcroft. This has the support of the local community, and an online petition has already raised over 370 signatures. I’m hoping to secure 1,000 supporters over the coming weeks. I have also worked hard over the past few months to replace a sculpture at Howe Park Wood after one was stolen over the New Year period.
I believe I am a genuine voice for people in our area, and I work tirelessly for local causes.
