August Volunteering Programme

Join Labour's summer volunteering programme for 16-24 year olds.

Over August, the Milton Keynes Labour party is offering a summer volunteer programme for young people between the ages of 16 and 24. This will be flexibly organised around your summer.

One of the great things about Milton Keynes is the variety of charities and community groups that bring the city to life: through helping people; providing advice and support to those in need; and campaigning to improve things.

The summer volunteer programme will help showcase the different groups and issues facing the city.

Training will be provided with a member of Regional Labour Party staff. This programme will allow you to participate in election campaigning, working with different charities and community projects, as well as working with the council. There will also be talks by people who have run campaigns to assist you in planning the general election campaign for part of the city.

This programme will provide you with skills in professional development and valuable work experience. We will be happy to provide job references upon the completion of the programme and assist with university applications or further education courses. You will also be presented with a certificate signed by a senior shadow minister upon completion of the course.

Induction to the programme is Monday 4th August at 11am at Labour Hall 112 Newport Road, New Bradwell MK13 0AA.

If you would like to attend or have any questions, please email jack_jenkins@labour.org.uk.

We look forward to seeing you on the 4th August.
