The National Health Service marked its 66th anniversary on 5 July and the Labour team were on hand to help celebrate the occasion with local NHS staff at Milton Keynes Hospital.

The NHS is one of our greatest institutions bringing together all that is great about Britain – help for those who need it, care based on need not the ability to pay.

Emily Darlington, Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate for Milton Keynes North, and Cllr Moriah Priestley joined local nurses and NHS staff at Milton Keynes Hospital to help mark the anniversary, and to say thank you for all the work NHS staff looking after Milton Keynes.

Emily Darlington, commented: “Despite the increasingly worrying news surrounding our hospital, let's take the 66th birthday of the NHS to celebrate the incredible work of our hospital staff. Every day, in their own way, they save the lives of our family, friends and neighbours.”
