Potholes Galore-Things are getting worse!

Cllr Mick Legg has been walking the streets and is increasingly concerned at the growing number of potholes on the roads and the incredibly bad state of some pavements.

He has been inspecting Whalley Drive and the closes of it, like Spenlows. He has been talking to residents and discussing how to get the much needed investment to bring the area up to a proper standard. He is concerned that West Bletchley is getting a poor deal from Milton Keynes Council.

Whalley Drive is a busy road. It is used by lorries and refuse vehicles as well as a large number of cars travelling to Bletchley station.

Cllr Mick Legg said, “We have seen a real deterioration in the roads and pavements in this part of West Bletchley alongside year on year funding reduction on these important services. I am concerned that Bletchley is getting a poor deal in terms of road and pavement maintenance.”

Cllr Legg has written to Council Roads Boss Cllr John Bint seeking his agreement for a programme of road and pavement upgrading.

Cllr Legg concluded, “I want to see Milton Keynes Council set out plans to deal with this area. I want to see a proper renewal or upgrading of the roads and pavements. We want our fair share of investment. It cannot be right to ignore West Bletchley.”
