Richard Darlington
Vice-Chair Campaigns
Like most people who live in MK, I wasn’t born here: my family moved here for a better life. Growing up, my dad was a trade union officer and taught me both the value of collectivism and the necessity of negotiation.
My first job was at the Open University, in Walton Hall, in the Political Liaison Unit. I’ve been lucky enough to work for the TUC and for several ministers in the last Labour government. I’ve also worked in nine different African countries. There’s more about me on LinkedIn. And I’m on Twitter, talking about politics and my day job: campaigning for the UK’s role in international development.
I love elections. I’m always looking forward to the next one and I’m obsessed about learning the right lessons from the last one.
