Milton Keynes Labour Party Let's get Britain's future back.
Council Leader, Pete Marland, and Deputy Leader, Hannah O’Neill, were on hand last week to welcome Labour Leader Ed Miliband to Milton Keynes to discuss affordable housing.
Ed Miliband visited Oakgrove in Milton Keynes as part of the launch of the Lyons Report on building more affordable homes.
The Lyons report outlines Labour’s plans for a comprehensive housing plan -; the first of its kind in a generation -; to meet Labour’s commitment of building 200,000 homes a year by 2020 and set a course for doubling the number of first-time buyers over the next decade.
Ed Miliband toured the Oakgrove site where private, affordable and shared ownership homes are being built in phased development; he also met with local people who have struggled to get on the housing ladder because of high demand.
