Your voice in the community
I’m your Labour representative for Campbell Park and Old Woughton, which includes the areas of Ashland, Simpson, Woughton, Woolstone, Springfield, Campbell Park, Downs Barn, Bolbeck Park, Willen Park, Pennyland & Downhead Park.
I’ve lived in Milton Keynes for ten years, five of these in Campbell Park. I stand for equality and social justice. The issues that affect our community are important to me. I’m committed to ensuring that you have the support you need, and a clean and healthy environment in which to live.
The Labour Party is built around a network of support. It is a party that cares about people and fights for social justice. These are values that I live my life by.
I have always had a commitment to local issues, and have contributed to the community in the voluntary work I’ve taken on. I helped to raise funds for a community centre, and have volunteered with the local police force. Working with the police brought me into contact with a range of social and domestic issues, providing me with invaluable insight and experience. This has helped me to develop a very good understanding of the deep internal issues that affect families in the 21st century.
My aim is to be the voice of those who are unable to speak for themselves, and to maintain a focus on equality. I would like to tackle the issues that are important to local residents in the area. This includes fly tipping, doctors surgery appointments, early education and nursery places, council tax and anti-social behaviour. I’d also like to ensure that we get value for the council tax that we pay. There are spaces that have been neglected in the community, and I would like to see these improve.
I’m about to embark on a law degree, which will help me in my political efforts. I’m also a very social person. I like the outdoor life, keeping fit and being active. This is why I love this area. It is both vibrant and diverse.
I have the energy and commitment that I think is essential for achieving positive results.
