Under the Conservatives our NHS is underfunded and understaffed. Across the UK around 3.9 million people are on waiting lists; One in four patients have to wait a week or more to see their GP; Social care is approaching a ‘tipping point’ according to the regulator.  The Labour party care for our NHS and MK Labour Party are part of a campaign to stand up for our NHS.

MK Labour Party members took place in a day of action on Saturday 21 January to show how we care for our NHS. We held a street stall on Netherfield and spoke to many local people there.  We leafleted houses and in streets across MK.

Paul Day, Chair of Milton Keynes Labour Party said “We heard from local people today that they are seriously concerned about what the Conservatives are doing to our Health Service.  People want the government to change direction, to give the NHS enough funds and to trust the doctors, nurses and other heath professionals to say what is right for patients.”

Local residents can show their support for the NHS by supporting our campaign and signing our petition here
