Labour-run MK Council has the lowest council tax in the South Midlands and is proposing one of the lowest council tax increases in the country this year.

In Labour-run Milton Keynes the average Band D Council Tax is £93 lower than in the surrounding Conservative-run councils.

Under the Tories you pay more and get less. Milton Keynes has better run services. We’ve not closed a single library or children’s centre. We have weekly bin collections. Our adult social care and children’s social care services have both been rated as “good,” by independent government bodies while Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire have inadequate children’s services and poor adult social services.

We’re proposing one of the lowest council tax rises in the country this year despite already having the lowest council tax in the South Midlands. As Covid-19 has hit people hard, it’s the right thing to do this year. You’ll save almost £50 in tax rises by having a well-run Labour Council.

The best way to pay less tax and get better services is to ensure we keep our Labour-run council. Under the Tories you’d pay more and get less.
