Greenleys local centre has received £100k of improvements thanks to Labour-led MK Council.

Labour Councillors for Wolverton ward secured £100k of funding to improve the local centre with the addition of new play areas, new planters and benches and painting of street furniture to bring the area up to date for local residents.

Cllr Rob Middleton said: “We were delighted to secure this funding for improvements as it was an issue that was raised with us by residents. To see the work completed is a success for everyone who uses the local centre.”

He continued: “We’re seeing more people shop locally and use outdoor spaces closer to home as a result of Covid-19 restrictions, so I’m pleased to see this area ready to be used and enjoyed.”

MK Council is committed to getting the basics right for residents and has allocated further funding in this year’s budget to similar projects around the city, including making improvements to Neath Hill and Oxley Park local centres.
