I have been a Labour Party member since June 2016, and in that time I have had the opportunity to attend meetings and to take part in local campaigning. I strongly believe that I can make a significant contribution as the BAME (Black, Asian and minority ethnic) Officer.

As CLP BAME Officer, I will work to ensure that BAME members are fully involved in the work of the local party, and I will take a leading role in making sure that the campaigning work of the constituency reaches out and engages with Black, Asian and minority ethnic voters. I want to build an inclusive party for all members and build campaigns with all communities in mind.

Outside of politics I work full-time as a General Practitioner with a special interest in Occupational Medicine. I enjoy the performing arts, cinema, and reading non-fiction history books.
