Losing our friend and colleague Shanika at just 28 years old was devastating, and we will feel that loss for a long time yet to come.
Whilst we have continued to work hard for New Bradwell Ward, a by-election will soon be held to fill the vacant seat.
It will be a close race between Tracey Bailey and your Labour Action Team who work all year round and an unknown Reform candidate who only shows up at election time.
It's going to be a tough fight - and we need to have the funds to fight it.
